The OBSIDIAN

VOL XVI MAY-JUNE 1956 - OBSIDIANS, INC - P. O. BOX - EUGENE, OREGON NO. 5

EXTRA! EXTRA!
OBSIDIANS PLAN BEST OUTING EVER
IN CANADIAN ROCKIES

Plans for this year's Summer Outing are really taking shape and the outlook is for a great gang to have a grand time in the CANADIAN ROCKIES.

Transportation to camp will be both comfortable and relaxing as we ride along in a Highway Traveller Greyhound Bus with Clancy at the wheel. You leave your worries and cares behind as you travel Greyhound.

From our base camp at Johnston Canyon in Banff there will be more than ample activities to occupy our time. Eating, swimming, hiking, boating, loafing...and tall yarns around the evening campfire are to name but a few. Olga Larsen of Mt. Hood culinary fame will this year be our chef at CAMP PLAISTED.

The sign-up sheet at Hendershott's is beginning to gain momentum. If you have already decided to go to the Canadian Rockies, won't you sign up sometime this week? Those of you who haven't yet made the decision - please decide soon to go. We all enjoy your companionship and will miss you who fail to join us.

For additional information see Camp Prospectus enclosed in this bulletin or contact any member of your Outing Committee.
