DON'T MISS THIS FINE ADVENTURE FILM...
"Canyon Voyage"
A Color and Sound Movie ..... Wed., March 27, - 8 P.M.
Mayflower Theatre ..... 90¢ Adults - 60¢ Students

An Obsidian sponsored event that you are all urged to attend is the unique moving picture, "CANYON VOYAGE", photographed by the nation's outstanding outdoor moving picture photographer, Charles Eggert. It is one of the finest adventure films being shown today. The recommendations as to the quality of photography and audience interest are of the highest, including that of Lowell Thomas, noted commentator.

To make this, your own Obsidian sponsored event, a success be sure to come and publicize it as much as possible.

David R. Brower, Executive Director of the Sierra Club, writes:

"In "Canyon Voyage', Eggert, Don Hatch, and party set out at Green River, Wyoming, to duplicate the historic Colorado River Exploration of Major John Wesley Powell to whom the film is dedicated. Powell had his journal and Dellenbaugh along; Eggert had his wide-screen camera and perceptive eye, and the photographic skill that he took to Dinosaur for the Sierra Club.

His photography is superb and the wide screen enhances its beauty in the serene sequences as well as the exciting ones. The stereophonic sound brings the roar of the rapids into the auditorium very convincingly and does wonders with the musical accompaniment...I can well understand how a member of the party, when he first listened to it, could say, 'That is the music I heard in that country!'..."

Pictures of this kind aren't shown as regular fare at the theatres. Anyone who misses this will have missed something more than just another good picture.

With all this and more too in our future, we have never been more assured of worthwhile and interesting events to come. To make all that has been and is being planned for us a success the one thing that is of the greatest importance is that we demonstrate our active interest by participating as often as we can. By doing so we will derive more enjoyment and others will also.

Bring all your friends and help fill the MAYFLOWER THEATRE on Wednesday evening at B p.m., March 27. Adults - 90¢. Students - 60¢.
