KAH-NEE-TA - April 19-20
This trip has 36 members and friends signed up (with a limit of 35) but with the possibility of last minute cancellations, we could put several people on a waiting list. McKINLEY PICTURES SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 15
Clarence Landes will show slides of the 1967 Mt. McKinley climb, at 7:30 p.m., with the help of Norman Benton, veteran McKinley climber. There will be no potluck but everyone is asked to please bring a dozen cookies. Betty Waddell is chairman of this event.
MARCH 29 POTLUCK - 6:30 p.m.
This Saturday program will be a showing by Maxcine Williams, long-time Alaskan resident and botanical collector, of her slides of Alaskan Wild Flowers. She has spent many years studying and collecting them. Lois Schreiner,Entertainment Chairman, will be hostess for this event.

FOUR PEAKS EXPEDITION
Gary Kirk was a member of the recent Four Peaks Expedition, which made the first traverse of Three Sisters Wilderness Area in winter. The traverse started at the Mt. Bachelor Ski Area on Feb. 16 and finished at White Branch Youth Camp on Feb. 22. Camps were made at Green Lakes, Chambers Lakes and the Col between the North and Middle Sisters. During the traverse Broken Top, South Sister,Middle Sister were climbed with an attempt on the North stopped at the summer snow field area below the pinnacle. The other members of the Four Peaks Expedition were Steve Schaefers, Gary Grimm, and Dale Moon.
