PDF Tips for Obsidians:
The best way to share our club documents are via PDF files. We try to identify them with this icon:
PDF stands for a 'Portable Document Format' file which can be read or printed on most any modern device.
Some PDFs can take some time to download because of their larger sizes.
Some of our Obsidian PDF files have extra features:
- PDF files can contain useful, clickable links to other websites or email addresses. Bulletins and other PDFs can have links to articles.
- As you move the cursor over a link on a page, the cursor will change to a pointing finger, indicating which items are hot links.
- If you are an advanced user using a PDF app, you may be able to fill in forms directly in the PDF app. You can them save/email them, or print/mail them. An example of this is the Membership Renewal form.
Handy keys to navigate in PDF::
- HOME key - Return to the first page of the document.
- END key - Jump to the end of the document.
- Page Up & Page Down keys - Forward and backward a page at a time.
If you have trouble viewing PDFs on an older computer, you can try installing the Adobe Acrobat Reader by clicking this icon link:
(Be aware that this Adobe installer will also install some extra McAfee software, unless you uncheck those McAfee install options)
