Trip Report

Eleven climbers left town at 2:00 p.m. for our trip to Frog Camp end the Sunshine area. We found Sunshine Meadow, Obsidian Falls area and everything else above White Branch Creek covered with deep snow. We camped Saturday by the still covered Arrowhead Lake, and were on our way toward Collier Glacier at 6:00 a.m. after a warm and windless night. All were en the summit by 10:00 and after an hour in warm, sunny weather headed for camp and rest. Hiked the long, dusty trail to Frog Camp and home at 7:00 p.m. Climbers were Lavon Boss, Tim Cook, Ray Davis, Jim Hinman, Ed Lichtenstein, Christine Ligneau, Mark Perrin, Pat Smith, Char Staryk, Ann Strother, and leader Lee Hatch.
