Trip Report

Only two climbers were interested in the Thielsen half of this climb, so Frank and Greg left town Friday evening for their climb of Thielsen on Saturday. The rest left for Mt. McLoughlin Saturday morning for camp at the trailhead. All were on the trail by 8:00 a.m., and after a couple of miles, in deepening snow which reached knee high near the summit. After appropriate celebration for the two new 10 peakers, Margaret and Christine, we were to the cars by 3:00 p.m. and home late. Congratulations to Margaret Crosland and Christine Ligneau, each earned a 10 peak award in only their second year of climbing.
