Trip Report

Work continued apace on Sunday, and the new section of Rebel, Rock Trail was cleared and roughed-in for its one-third mile length. Terrain was rocky and difficult to work in places, but a serviceable tread soon appeared in spite of a steady downpour most of the day. Much detail tread-work remains for a future work party. This was an exceptionally cohesive, motivated work crew, of which all non-participating Obsidians on this Second Annual Field day may be proud!!! Dedicated Rebel Rock trail crew (including two nonmembers) were Jerry Casby, Pete Cecil, Joella Ewing, Gene Flynt (Blue River Ranger District), Bob Foster, Jane and Mike Hackett, George Jobanek, Betty Legris, Dave Stone, Marshall Pallett, Ben Ross, Mike Wright and leader John Cecil.
