Trip Report

The climb began from Blue Lake. The party camped there Saturday evening, the 27th of August. The mountain was very cooperative. Our only adversary was a high, cold wind. There was ample evidence of last winter's snowfall on many slopes that have been bare in previous years. We were also treated to considerable whooping and hollering, each time Bob Foster sighted a distant peak. On the summit before noon and a very uneventful descent put us back in camp a little after three where Clara Moffitt greeted us with a warm fire and hot coffee water. Climbers included Bob Foster, Bob Moffitt, Jerry Mohler and leader Mitch Daletas.
