Trip Report

The weather cooperated nicely for the last of the season's trail building trips. A typically distaff crew accomplished a significant amount of mileage, and managed to link up two segments of the trail. We reached the western point achieved by the Sierra Club crew on their July encampment making the trail continuous now from Oakridge to Big Bunchgrass meadow, something like 20 miles. We felt like celebrating this signal achievement! The crew consisted of Doris Allen, Mary Bridgeman, Mary Fulton, and Forest Service personnel Cony Frisch and Janette Haugen, plus leader Jerold Williams.
