Trip Report

Sunday's trail trip put the finishing touches on the new 65 ft. bridge crossing Deception Creek (Trail #3466) in the Lowell District culminating a series of work parties over a period of a year or more, and a long felt, overdue hiking "want" has now been addressed: Deception Creek may now be crossed, safely, conveniently, & dry footed! Hallelujah!! Specifically, south end access steps were completed, trail connection realigned, pier supports reinforced with river boulders, and the site generally cleaned up. "Last" work party was composed of Pete Cecil, Betty Macy and John Cecil, leader.
