Trip Report

The dessert potluck held May 24th at the Lodge was a good introduction to the wonderful food at Summer Camp. Wes Prouty, Chairman, introduced the camp committee and then told what would be in store for those attending Camp Ross at Camp Apserkaha at Howard Prairie Lake. Camp Apserkaha is the name of a nearby spring named after a local Indian chief who participated in the trading of this land.

Wes showed slides of the campsite and of some of the hiking trails nearby. It is located by a beautiful lake with a view of Mt. McLoughlin. If you would like more information, call Wes Prouty or Jane Hackett. There is still space available.

John and Janet Baker Jacobsen shared a crossword puzzle featuring highlights of summer camp. Bea Fontana was the first one finished while a team effort of 4 came in second. - Janet Baker Jacobsen
