Trip Report

Sam Miller's narration with slides of his Mt. McKinley trip provided a number of informative and amusing anecdotes of his 20-day climb. The audience asked so many questions that we almost didn't have time for the slides of his recent visit to New Zealand. He and Bill McWhorter, a former Obsidian, climbed Mt. Cook and hiked the Milford Track. This was a special evening for Obsidians who had climbed with Sam. We want to thank Sam for sharing.

Fifty-seven people attended the slide show. When asked to stand if he/she had ever climbed a mountain, two-thirds of the audience stood!
