Trip Report

After a day of hiking to Summit, Martin, Booth and Square Lakes we set up camp at Big Lake. During the night we had lightning and some light rain and were concerned that the morning would not bring climbing weather. But with daybreak we were glad to see mostly sunny skies and were headed for the mountain before 7:00 a.m. All were on the summit for lunch at noon. Back to the cars in a thunder, lightning, and rain storm at 5:00 p.m. were Jerry Crosby, John Englehart, Ed Lovegren and leader Lee Hatch. (Many thanks to newcomer John Englehart who did all the leading, securing the ropes, belaying, and setting up the rappel.)
