Trip Report

We Left Shopko at 8 a.m. with John Bunker as our driver, heading for Timberline Lodge. Our first stop was at Silverton for our coffee break at their nice park. Our next stop was the Jonsrud wayside park in Sandy where we had a little mishap with the bus and the drivethrough. With the help of Don Payne bending a steel pole and John's good driving, we made it. The bus does have a little dent though. We made it to Timberline Lodge where they were waiting for us and served us a very nice lunch. We couldn't see the top of Mt. Hood, but it did not rain. In Warm Springs, we stopped at their Museum which was very interesting. We took the road from Terrebonne to Sisters, where we had our last coffee break. The fall colors along the McKenzie, coming home were supreme. It was a good day.
