We’re off to the zoo! Washington Park is the jewel of Portland’s extensive park system. The zoo (Zoo Admission included) is just one of its many attractions. We plan on spending the day so you may distribute your time as you wish. Other options: TRAIN ($5, not included) for a 4 mile ride through the zoo and surrounding wooded hillside to the INTERNATIONAL ROSE TEST GARDEN (no charge) and JAPANESE GARDEN. ($7, not included) You may get off at these attractions and return on another train. THE WORLD FORESTRY CENTER ($7, not included). is just across the parking lot. There are a number of food vendors around the zoo. Cart transportation is available and, of course, lots of good walking paths. So… we are going to the zoo, but you have many other options that you can consider on your own.

Left Eugene at 8 am, with rest stop prior to arriving at the zoo.

Rick talked about zoos part of the way up.

Everyone did their own thing at the zoo. Boarded bus for return at 3 pm.
