Trip Report

Nineteen climbers gathered for this second part of Crevasse Rescue Training. The session was conducted outdoors at the lodge and thankfully we had dry weather. Folks were broken up into teams. While some practiced rope team tie-in, travel, and execution of the Z pulley system, rotating through the various positions on the rope, others practiced individual self rescue technique on the climbing wall using prussik loops. Teams rotated stations to be sure everyone had a chance to practice all the skills. These were "dry run" practices in preparation for the field session at Mt. Hood.
