K2, known as the savage mountain, is a name that inspires awe in anyone familiar with its reputation and grandeur. In 2004 our September potluck speaker, Hussain Mirza, and architect from Portland, traveled to Pakistan with a friend for a trek that would see them go up the Baltoro glacier and attempt to make it to K2 base camp. Come hear about their adventure and learn about the second highest mountain iin the world.
