Description:

Climb the Pioneer Gultch route to the summit of Diamond Peak. This is a climb school graduation climb. Non climb school grads are welcome but sign up priority goes to this years students. An Obsidians training hike prior to the climb is encouraged. To help insure all participants are prepared, a pre trip phone or email interview with the leader may be required.

Ice axe, helmet, snow shoes (heel lifters highly recommended), 10 essentials, sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses), minimum 2 liters of water, sturdy waterproof boots, boot gaiters, warm gloves +extra pair, rain gear, extra emergency clothing (dry socks, insulating layers, warm hat, etc.) , food for 12+ hours, trekking poles optional
