Description:

We will climb the standard south route early Sunday morning. Arrive at dusk and plan to bivy in the parking lot until we get ready to climb early Sunday morning. Prerequisite: Obsidians basic climbing school or equal and participation in at least one Obsidians conditioning hike before the climb.

  • Supplies and Equipment Required: For the bivy bring ear plugs, sleeping pad, cot if you have one, sleeping bag , etc. For the climb bring crampons refit to your boot, appropriate boot for snow and crampons, ice axe, helmet, pack with ten essentials, sunglasses, harness with two prussiks, two locking biners and belay device. Bring over pants, gaiters and enough layers to survive in a snow shelter if we need one.
