Description:

This is an aerobic hike. Come a few minutes early to sign in because we start promptly at 9:00 o'clock. We hike from the Martin Street trailhead to Fox Hollow, to the Tie Trail, and to the summit of Spencer Butte. The hike takes around 2.5 hours depending on how much time we linger at the top before heading down. Parts of the trail are muddy so wear appropriate footwear. Be aware of the weather conditions and dress accordingly because it can be cold, windy, and wet.

After the hike join us at the Hideaway Bakery for coffee or lunch.

Trip Report

Our first Wednesday hike from the Martin Street trailhead in 2 months because of the City's closure of the Ridgeline Trail System. It was good to see most of the old group of the Wednesday regulars gathered again. It rained off and on but the temperture was in the mid 50s. The trails were muddy in places and there was no view from the top because of low clouds and fog. Everyone made it back safely and we regrouped at the Hideaway Bakery for lunch, coffee, and conversation.
