Trip Report

We had eight people show up for the Mt. Pisgah hike, each of us walking in the fewest layers we have had on in a long time! Between sunset and moonrise, we had good views of Middle and South Sister, with Diamond Peak and a little bit of Mt. Moran also present. While the Sun disappeared behind thick clouds to the west, the Moon rose just south of South Sister, only a few thin clouds present. Because of the delay between sunset and moonrise, it was very dark going down. The trail was not too muddy, and about 15 people altogether saw moonrise from the summit.
