Description:

We will continue to clear drainage ditches within Spencer Butte Park. We will work primarily on the Main Trail near the Junction Meadow. We will also clean the kiosk, check culverts, and pick up litter.

Meet at the main Willamette Street Trailhead parking lot, the paved on Willamette.

Trip Report

For this month's outing we worked to clear drainage and culverts along the Main Trail in anticipation of it being resurfaced. We worked to clear caked duff out of ditches and rolling drain dips. We made sure that there was sufficient room for the outflow of water from culverts by moving storm debris out of the way and clearing 6 to 8 feet away from the pipes.

Janet deserves special thanks for cleaning up the trail and trailsides by filling up the same garbage bag 3 times with refuse and dog poop.

We returned to the trailhead for snacks before heading out for pizza.
