Description:

We'll depart Ankeny Wildlife Refuge at 9:30am, Obsidian time. You'll need to leave Eugene-Springfield between 8-8:15. I will send directions to the AWR in a separate email to those that sign-up. The bike route is 26 miles with a few rollers. Make sure that your bike is in working order, tires inflated, chain lubed and you have a spare tube and air pump. In addition to the $1 or 5 trip charge, you'll need $1 for the ferry. We will take a lunch break upon reaching the City of Independence, so bring your lunch, snacks and water. In case the weather forecast does not look promising, I will change the date of the ride and let you know.

Trip Report

Sunday morning brought forth the promise of a rainless ride. After being sequestered much of the winter, riders seemed anxious to test their skills, first crossing the Willamette River via ferry, then snaking through the beauteous countryside.
After lunch we again crossed the Willamette River this time via the River Road bridge. Once back at our cars, riders were treated to chocolate covered strawberries from the Easter Bunny.
