Description:

This is another hike in the Hardesty Mountain area. But this on doesn't go to any summit. Instead, it heads east crossing a few creeks. That means it also crosses the ridges between the creeks making for a good way to get in some uphill without it being one long push. Our path will end at the Eula Ridge trailhead. We'll have a car or two left there to shuttle us back to the Hardesty trailhead.

Trip Report

Raining as we started and towards the end but not bad in between. The spring rains had left many sections muddy. It was a good day for finding mushrooms and seeing some of the early spring flowers. Our last stream crossing at North Creek was a little different. With a lot of water flowing, the usual quick stone step through creek was really not the best choice. Fortunately, just a few feet from the standard crossing were some downed trees in the creek. A relatively easy crossing and we were soon at the Eula Ridge Trailhead where cars had been left to take us back the the Hardesty Area parking lot.
