Description:

The Eugene contingent of Obsidians will meet at Target and rendevous with our leader (and possibly other hikers from Corvallis) at the trailhead for this hike up the east ridge of Mary's Peak. Hopefully we will hit the peak of wildflower season!

Trip Report

Ten of us enjoyed excellent weather on the hike up the East Ridge on Mary's Peak. Although clouds prevented Cascade and ocean views, wildflowers were approaching peak, with spectacular displays of paintbrush, Cardwell's penstemon, phlox, and others. We lunched in balmy weather at the summit and enjoyed a leisurely decent.
