  • End date: 03/26/2017

  • End time: 11:59 PM

Description:

This will be a shuttle so we will need at least one more car. We hike the first 2 sections of the trail leaving from the trailhead at Westfir and continue on the third section for about a mile and a half. We will then back track to the car waiting at the end of the second section. The third section has not been maintained beyond the first mile or so and is over run with poison oak and brush. With luck we may see the first spring flowers and the river should be running full.

Trip Report

The 2 of us enjoyed a damp but peaceful hike along the North Fork of the Willamette. The river was full and running fast and the first yellow violets, spring beauties and trillium lined the trail. We took the opportunity to check a trail out but did not attempt to hike that as the rain was heavy. It was a good day.
