Trip Report

A western Oregon spring hike – wildflowers and mud. Nine hikers, walked the arboretum trail by the creek, then up the hillside on trail #35 to trail #3 where we turned south. Trail #3 was muddy with puddles and streams in places, and lots of wildflowers. The poison oak was just leafing out. We took the short trail #36 to trail #6 and climbed trail #6 to the summit and a view of the Three Sisters. We returned on the better maintained trails, 1,4,3,7,17 making a loop back to our cars before the rain started.
