Description:
On Saturday, Backpack via Tam McArthur Rim Trail into a little used lake with a magnificent view of Broken Top . Approximately 6.5 miles in, this backpack trip will involve 1200 ft of elevation gain, followed by 600 ft of elevation drop, some of which will be steep and without a trail. Set up base camp and enjoy 2nd day of bushwhacking up the flank of Broken Top, reading by the lake, or exploring other hiking options. Backpack out Monday. Departure location to be determined
