Description:

Description:  We will take a variety  of trails including Trail 4 on the backside and then trail 2 to the top. Our route will include the new construction on trail #5.The late start is because  of the action packed Obsidian Annual Meeting the night before.    Bring a lunch.  Be open to a bit more elevation and mileage to get to the summit. I’ll shorten the  trip if it rains.

Trip Report

It was a crisp fall day to hike on the open hillsides end enjoy the autumn colors. Dorene, the "real" leader guided us on the newly surfaced Trail 5 where we met and talked with Bill Montgomery, an Obsidian and a Friends of Buford Park volunteer who has dedicate many years to building and surfacing trails. It was a steady uphill on Trail 6 and 2 to the summit for clear views of white capped mountains. There were requests for more hikes that started at 9:30. The hike took 2 1/2 hours .
