Description:

I plan on hiking to all 10 falls. We will start at the South Falls and hike the trail clockwise with lunch at the upper north falls. There will be water on part of the trail and some concrete stairs with handrails, so I recommend boots, dress in layers. There is a bathroom at the South Falls day use area and at the North Falls parking lot which we will visit just before lunch. This is a state park with a $5 parking fee that needs the be shared by all hikers.

Trip Report

Sixteen of us took off in 4 cars from Eugene, making our first stop at the Santiam Rest area near Salem. We arrived at the South Falls day use area under partly cloudy skies, bought parking passes then regathered for final instructions. We started hiking the trail making the south falls the first of ten and hiking in a clockwise direction eating lunch at the upper north falls.
