Description:

We’ll meet at Baldy Trailhead Parking lot on Dillard. Up to the top of Mt Baldy and then take a user trail down into Suzanne Arlie Park. This trail is narrow is spots, so you might get a little damp even if it doesn’t rain. Come and see what is starting to happen in this large park area. Find out which roads are private access only and where the official route to LCC takes you. Get it familiar with the area and watch it develop over the coming years. Forest trails, old roads and even remnants of an old homestead.
We can take a break at LCC. The length of the break to be determined by the group.

Trip Report

This was the second hike this week through the Suzanne Arlie Park ares. The rain in the days between the two hikes had left a little mud and puddles but nothing significant. Another group (with one repeat participant) got to stretch their legs on our trek from Dillard road to LCC. All agreed it was a good workout with several ups and downs. And some of our hikers brought treats---macaroons and pecan stuffed dates! Another enjoyable hike with a terrific group.
