Description:
Direction to parking lot: Turn right at the sign for West Summit Trailhead and follow pay fee signs. Look for the yellow fee box. I'll try to have my car in the row below so that is is easy for us to meet, sign up. etc.If you don’t have a Lane County permit, allow time to purchase one at the pay station by trailhead. Depending on weather, I plan to take back trails to the summit, avoiding the main trail #1. Pace will be moderate steady. I plan to take a longer way to the summit (4.8 miles -Trail 5, 56, 6 & 2) From the summit one can take the main trail #1 (1 1/2 miles) back to the cars for a total of 6 miles or continue on north on 4 and 3 to the north trailhead for a total of 7.4 miles.
