Description:

Willamalane recently acquired 665 acres and developing hiking and biking trails along the south Thurston hills. We will hike finished North Access Trail staring from parking-lot at 7575 McKenzie Hwy, Springfield, OR.
New trail-head has parking, a restroom, an interpretive kiosk, a picnic table, benches and a bike wash & service area. ⛄
New parking lot can take approx. 20 cars. Consider car pooling from Albertsons (5755 S Main St, Springfield, OR) so that Obsidians don’t take up so many spaces.

Trip Report

Our big lively group enjoyed short hike in fabulous February weather.
New North Access Trail is already very popular and busy with hikers, runners and dog-walkers. This new developing trail system still needs improvement in water drainage and erosion prevention but is already great alternative for close-by nature escape.
