Description:

We will carpool to the main trailhead on Willamette and hike to the summit picking up trash on the way. Our return will be mostly downhill to the Willamette & 52nd trailhead. The pace will be slow as we look for trash.

Meet at the Ridgeline trailhead at 52nd Ave. & Willamette.

Trip Report

Many thanks to Clara, Jane, Janet and Tom for coming out to pick up litter on Spencer Butte. We made fast work of the trash, etc. in the parking lot and trail head area before heading off for the summit. Some made it to a foggy summit and others decided to focus on the connector trail and then head down to W. 52nd Street. A successful trip with an estimated total garbage collected to fill a 10 gallon trash bag.
