Description:

Our project this month is to continue to improve the West Trail. We will install signs to help people stay on the West Trail. We will also clean the kiosk and possibly the summit steps if conditions allow it.

Meet at the main Willamette Street Trailhead parking lot, the paved lot on Willamette Street.

Trip Report

For this month's outing we met at the main trailhead on a cold morning to find ice in the parking lot, on the steps, and on the trail.

Clara did an excellent and extremely thorough job removing ice from the trailhead steps. Janet and Pat worked around the trailhead removing a copious amount of dog feces.

Mike and I took 4 stay on the trail signposts up the West Trail and installed them in areas where the City has noticed increased numbers of people going off trail.

We made short work of our tasks and were able to end early.
