Description:

Participants met and arranged travel, permits and other planning issues
All will arrive at Grand Canyon National Park by April 20.

Itinerary:
April 22 - Down Hermit Trail 8 miles to Hermit Camp for two nights.

April 24 - Across Tonto Trail 3 miles to Monument Creek for two nights

April 26 - Hike out via Tonto and Hermit Trails - 9.5 miles

Trip Report

8.5 miles down Hermit Trail to Hermit Creek camp site for two nights. Then 3.5 miles to Monument Creek for two more nights before a 9.5 mile return to the trail head. We found not many people, a nightly chorus of tree frogs in love, several swimming holes, blooming cacti, and numerous exceptional rocks.
