Description:

We will continue our project from the last month, re-establishing the trailbed along 2 sections of the West Trail. We will work to add soil to the surface of these 2 sections.

We will also have the tools fro cleaning the trailhead kiosk & stairs.We don't have a project yet. But, we're certain we'll be doing some trail maintenance.

Meet at the main Willamette Street Trailhead parking lot, the paved on Willamette.

Trip Report

We met early on a Saturday morning to continue our work from last month. Clara and Janet cleaned the trailhead and kiosk. Janet deserves praise for continuing to pickup all the dog poop from around the trailhead.

Dan and I hiked up the West Trail to dig a borrow pit to "borrow" soil to add the sections of the West Trail we added the retaining features to in March. As we worked to spread and compact the soil we were joined by Janet. We also re-established some tread and trail surface near the larger section of retaining feature and blended it into the unimproved portion.
