Description:

This month we will continue our project from the last couple of months, improving the West Trail. We will do light brushing and blocking of switchbacks, trailhead & kiosk cleaning, & removing used steps & rebar.

Meet at the main Willamette Street Trailhead parking lot, the paved on Willamette.

Trip Report

Our group of volunteers met at the main parking lot for an evening of rebar pulling. We used a map provided by the City staff to find the exposed and hazardous rebar along the middle portion of the West Trail. We made short work removing unused steps and rebar so much so we got overconfident in our abilities and then we weren't able to remove the last 2 pieces of rebar.

Special thanks go to Clara for once again cleaning the trailhead.
