Description:

This is a beautiful ride on low volume roads. There is an old growth forest at the turn around point. We will carpool from Target to N. Fork Rd, then turn right to Bender Landing County Park, about 2.5 miles. You'll need a County Parking Pass or pay $5 for parking. Lunch that you bring will either be enjoyed at the turn around point or at another point TBD depending upon the sunshine.

  • Supplies and Equipment Required: Know your bike: Be sure to ride your bike before the trip to insure that it's working properly. If you need a tune-up or adjustments to your bike, do so now. Be sure that your tires are inflated. Your rear tire should be inflated 5 psi more than the front tire, if you want a comfortable ride (follow the recommended psi on the tire's sidewall). Also lube the chain (wiping off excess) and carry a spare tube and air pump. Carry water, snacks and lunch.

Trip Report

There could not have been a more beautiful day for a bike ride. Although the headwind was slight heading out, it reversed and picked-up speed on the return. We ate lunch at the PAWN trailhead, then hiked the 0.7 mile magical loop trail that displayed ferrie bells and trilliums.
