Trip Report

Blue sky's, sun and warm temperatures, summed up the hike on Larison Creek. The 3 participant's had never hiked this trail so that made this hike more interesting for me. We hiked the first 3.5 miles of the trail before the warmth of the day encouraged use to return to the pool and water fall that gave use a cool lunch spot. I expected more wildflowers but instead we found a healthy crop of poison oak along the sunnier portions of the trail. After an extended lunch break we returned to the car. We saw only one other hiker and his dog all day and they were headed to the pool to cool off.
