Description:
This is our weekly aerobic hike starting at Martin Street Trailhead up to Spencer Butte. We start promptly so come a few minutes early to check in. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather. It is a steady pace varying from moderate to fast. Guests are welcome.
To get to the trailhead: Take West Amazon to Martin Street. Turn left. Drive past Kinney Park and park on Martin Street at the Kiosk sign board across from Canyon Drive Street sign with hiker symbol. One can take LTD Bus #28 to Martin Street. Please call the leader if any questions
NOTE: (1) Leave No Trace is practiced in my hikes. Pick up your own litter and maybe pick up some more. (2) NO feeding of the squirrels on top. This is harmful to the squirrel, and will kill it ultimately. In addition, it creates a nuisance and a bite--need rabies treatment--risk. Finally, the outdoor wildlife are not to be "subdued" to satisfy one's ego. Leave the animals alone, please.
