  • Start date: 02/23/2019

Description:

Location: Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge, about 75 miles SW of Tucson.
We will work with the Tucson, Arizona group Friends of BANWR on a habitat restoration project, possibly removing mesquite from path of planned new wildlife-friendly fence. On-site (and quite nice) lodging is free. Food expenses will be shared and group meals prepared in the full kitchen. We will not work every day so there will be hiking opportunities on the refuge.
The trip will begin and end at the BANWR headquarters. Transportation will be on your own.
There is the possibility of extending the trip to include hiking opportunities in nearby areas.
Currently, all dates and logistics are somewhat flexible. The refuge folks need to know our commitment level by late October.
