Trip Report

Three Obsidians, three Scorpions, and forty Northwest Christian University soccer team players joined the Eugene Parks and Open Space Staff to work on Part One of the Floral Hill Trail Restoration project. While the soccer team players loaded and moved gravel in wheelbarrows to resurface the trail, the Obsidians and Scorpions rebuilt a 44 foot retaining wall. Part two will take place on National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 29. My job to recruit Obsidian volunteers was an easy one. Todd, John, and Jim had all of the hard work.
