Description:

This trail starts at Westfir and follows along the North Fork of the Willamette River for about 6 miles. At this time of year we may get some good fall color. We will hike the first 2 section and depending on how everyone is feeling we can continues for another mile or so in to the third section of this trail. I plan on doing a car schuttle, so we need atleast 2 cars.

Trip Report

Great fall hike. Started from the top at bridge 1912. This gets you warmed up right away. I have never seen this river at such a low level. We saw rocks I have never seen before in the many hikes I have led on this trail. Lots of yellow and gold but not much red. The vine maple is just to dry. We found a great bank of rocks that extended into the river for lunch. Upon returning to the lower trailhead we noted a few new things, a cute little play ground and a tiny moto cross course for little kids. Great day.
