Description:

This trailhead is across from Clear Lake. We will be SS on trails and roads. This trip gives great views of the 3 Sisters, Mt Washington and 3 Fingerjack. The snowshoe surcharge is $2.00, for the drivers who are willing to take on the snow.

Trip Report

We left Springfield in the rain but our wish for snow was granted when we arrived at the Sno-Park to find twelve to fourteen inches of snow and the snow continuing to fall. Halfway into the loop we ran out of blue diamonds and in the areas where there were many downed small trees, we lost the trail. Retracing our steps, we continued up the road to the next trail junction where we should have come out. It didn’t matter that it snowed all day and there were no views—everyone had a good time.
