Description:

Moonrise is at 3:40 pm and sunset at 5:04. We will take a longer route to the top. Look for us by my car a row or two down from the fee box.
UPDATE: This looks like it will a be hike without celestial sightings. My plan is for us to hike a longer route to the top probably on arboretum trails. (or North Bottom)

If you don’t have a Lane County pass allow time to purchase one with Debit/Credit card (no cash) at the pay station by trailhead. To buy an annual pass and support the trails, check out the websites for Friends of the Buford Park ($50.00) or Mt. Pisgah Arboretum. ($50.00/$40.00 for seniors).

Trip Report

It was overcast so without hope for celestial sightings, we hiked the arboretum trails to connect with Trail 35—an unexpected challenge. For some it was the first time to hike in the arboretum and view the three exhibits. It was an 1 1/2 hours to the top and we were back at the parking lot at 5:00 for the sunset that wasn't.
