Description:

Our path will start at the Greenway Bike Bridge behind Valley River Center.

We’ll head north on the East Bank Trail and reach the shops on the north side of Green Acres Road. At this time we can get lunch/snack/coffee. (Last year most people chose lunch at Café Yumm.) Then we’ll re-trace our steps until we come to the Owosso Bike Bridge. After crossing the river here, our path heads south on a short section on streets. Then on to West Bank Path. The Greenway Bridge returns us to our starting point.

Trip Report

The day turn out better than the weather forecast! A little snow in some parts of town but it was over by the time our hike started. It was pleasant walk from VRC past the ponds where we watched herons, ducks, geese and cormorants. We had lunch and conversation at CafeYumm in the Delta shopping center. Then, as the sun broke through the clouds, we headed back to our cars but crossed the Owosso footbridge to travel on the other side of the river. An enjoyable day with great group.
