Alternate Butte – Skinner Paths

NOTE: Change in plans due to snow.

Park near the playground at the base of the Skinner Butte. We'll start with a hike up Skinner's Butte, then head up the West Bank past the Rose Garden, Maury Jacobs Park and all the way to the Owosso bridge crossing over to the East Bank, through Delta Ponds , then crossing back over the Greenway Pedestrian bridge (near Maury Jacobs) and back to Skinner, those who want some more elevation can hike the Butte again.

Trip Report

This hike worked out well as a Spencer Butte substitute. The weather cooperated and a hummingbird was spotted just at the edge of Delta Ponds. For those of us who bookended the butte, the distance was 8 miles for the hike.
