Description:

We will begin hiking by 'climbing' up the hill on 2nd Street and over to Pioneer Park; then continue along the Mill Race Path to the junction with the Middle Fork Path for our return. (If conditions remain dry this week, we may take trails #2 & #1 back thru the Dorris Ranch filbert orchards instead of along the paved Middle Fork path.)

Trip Report

The weather cooperated and we had only a few light sprinkles for our loop hike. Everyone appreciated starting with the hike up the hill over 2nd street to get warmed up. We saw a good variety of waterfowl along the route (more than we saw people). We returned through Dorris Ranch via the filbert orchards.
