Trip Report

We met at the Willamette & 52nd Trailhead. We divided into 3 groups to focus on different sets of tasks. Pat led a small group that cleared drainage and raked storm debris off the trail starting at the Tie Trail junction. Janet led a small group up to clean the Main Trailhead. The remainder hiked up the Ridgeline to work on repairing tread damaged caused by trees falling during this year's snowstorm.

Dan, Jane, & Nate worked on the third rootwad. They cut back roots and pulled soil from the rootwad to build a small section of new tread around the rootwad. Kevin, Luke, & I started with a rootwad whose soil was sloughing onto the trail. We pulled and pitched the soil over the trail. As we hiked back to the large rootwad we took the opportunity to disperse some of the storm debris that were laying directly beside the trail. Nate, Luke, Pat, Mike, and I worked on cutting tread for the reroute around the largest rootwad. Jane and Kevin started on the final rootwad and were joined by Dan.

Nate, a volunteer affiliated with Parks Project, brought some Parks Project stickers that he gave to a few volunteers.
